Dear Parents,

On behalf of the Executive Committee I would be grateful for your help at this year’s annual Wargrave Village Fireworks Display which takes place on Saturday 4th November 2017 at the Recreation Ground, Wargrave. Refreshments start at 5.30 pm, the Bonfire will be lit at 6pm followed by Fireworks 6.30pm.

There will be a BBQ with refreshments and we need volunteers to help with a number of different tasks. To make this event run smoothly we need a lot of help from the parents of the Scout Group (that is ALL the parents of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) in Wargrave.

The Scouts will also be selling glow sticks to raise additional group funds.

The tasks (and the number of people we will need) are listed below:

Tasks for Saturday 4th November
12noon – 2pm – Build bonfire / Set up marquee (10 people)
2-5pm – Bonfire guarding between (3 people x 1 hour)
From 2pm – Mulled wine/food preparation (6 people)
From 4pm – Cook food on BBQ (6 people)
From 5pm – Collect entrance donations at gates to Recreation Ground or King’s Field (6 people)
From 5.15pm – Help serve refreshments (10 people)
5.15pm – Marshalls for bonfire (without children) (10 people)
7-7.30pm – Help clear away debris and take down marquee etc (10 people)

 

Tasks for Sunday 5th November
10am – Help clear up fields and put away equipment (10 people)
