Beavers – Lumberjacks (Wednesdays) Report  ….The Beavers have been busy this year. The Woodchucks colony merged into Lumberjacks at the start of the 2015 Autumn Term, due to a lack of a leader. And following the departure of the Lumberjack leaders (Jen Herrington and Clare Pagdin) Neil Cooper (Bear) agreed to take on the leadership of the merged colony, assisted by Ken and Hilary Burke. Cubs – Pumas (Tuesdays) Report  ….2015/16 has again been a full year for Pumas, unfortunately John and Richard have been unable to continue helping on a Tuesday evening, which has left myself as the only leader. Cub Camp was yet again another highlight of our year, I think the talking point of the camp was the very long hike that we undertook on the Saturday, and according to some of the Cubs we walked anything from 10 miles to 100 miles! We are looking forward to this year’s camp, and part of the term’s programme will teach the Cubs how to erect and dismantle a tent. Read Cubs Pumas Report

Cubs – Wildcats (Thursdays) Report  ….It has been a quiet year really, although we did go on camp. And on a 10 mile bear hunt. We helped make sure the Wargrave runners didn’t get dehydrated. We climbed trees at Dinton pastures. We went to the fun day at Gilwell Park, the home of scouting. We entered the Wargrave festival float procession and sang the loudest. We built rope bridges in Bowsey woods. We beat the parents at silly games, of course. We are very proud to be WILDCATS. Read Cubs Wildcats Report

Scouts – (Mondays) Report  ….2015 was another great year for Scouting in Wargrave! Badge work continues to be a big driver for our programme, and an important aspect of everything we do. We strive to offer a balanced and fun programme, allowing boys and girls aged between 10.5 and 15 to learn new things and be rewarded for participating in a wide range of activities, enabling young people to gain new and interesting life skills.
