What to bring…

A suggested kit list is below. Mugs, plates, bowls, cutlery etc will be provided.

Meals

Hot drinks and a light snack only Friday evening – please feed your child before attending the camp as we will not be providing a proper meal.

Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner provided – menu tbc

Sunday breakfast.

In the event of an accident

We will have a dedicated First Aider for the weekend, which is Fiona Keen

Snacks and stuff

There will be sufficient snacks, fresh fruit etc. available during the weekend so cubs do not need to bring any additional goodies. There is no where to spend money so no need to provide them with pocket money.

As this is a short camp we do ask that the youngsters do not bring mobile phones or iPods etc to the camp.  If these are brought they are the responsibility of the individual and we cannot take responsibility for damage or loss.

Photographs of the weekend

We would like to be able to take photos of everyone on camp doing the various activities.  These will then be used in subsequent presentation to the Group and others about the weekend and Scouting in Wargrave in general.  Rather than ask everyone to sign a permission form can we please ask that if you do not give consent to the use of photos of you or your family that you let me know.

How long does it take to get there?

It takes about 20 minutes to get there from Wargrave.

…and finally

Obviously no Scout camp would be complete without camp inspections and prizes for the best kept site, best hospitality to the leaders, greatest contribution to fun and frivolity, best washing up team, cleanest teeth etc.  Look out for those inspections!

I am sure that we will have a great time. If you have any questions regarding the camp please feel free to contact me.
