Once again, 1st Wargrave Scout Group is planning a Family Treasure Hunt around the village of Wargrave, on Saturday 24th March at 2-4pm from the Scout HQ.
With three different courses to appeal to all age groups and abilities, Easter eggs for all participating youngsters, prizes for the fastest times and afternoon tea and cake for everyone, it is set to be a fun afternoon for all the family.
Pre-school age children are invited to bring their parents along to take part in a gentle challenge at the Recreation Ground, while families with children aged up to ten years old can follow interesting clues around a cross-country course through the picturesque village and in to the woods.
Older children aged 10 to 14 years are encouraged to form teams with friends and family to put their orienteering skills to the test in a tougher cross-country challenge. Prizes will be given to the winners and the honour of being the top team will be yours for a whole year – imagine the glory!
The cost of taking part is just £4 per child and £3 for the under fours. Adults go free. The ticket price includes an Easter egg for each child and an opportunity to win the Treasure Hunt prize.
The afternoon will start and finish from the Scout HQ in Wargrave between 2pm and 4pm, with no fixed starting times, followed by tea and cake, also included in the cost of the ticket.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We look forward to you joining us for this fun afternoon.
Please consider baking or donating a cake and let Lesley our Exec Chair know if you can help (exec@wargravescouts.org). All proceeds go to troop funds, supporting 1st Wargrave Beavers, Cubs and Scout sections.
