Beavers

Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Young people are able to join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday, however due to the large number of youngsters looking to become Beavers within Wargrave typically we can't accommodate them until they are 61/2 or 63/4.
Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. They usually meet together once a week in a Beaver Scout Colony.
At Wargrave like Cubs and Scouts, Beavers can earn badges, but the main emphasis for our Wargrave Beavers is the Beaver motto ‘Fun and Friends’.
